Vocabulary

Some of the main vocabulary that we focus on is put at the front of class.

Here is the list of the vocabulary:

Incarnation
Sanctuary Lamp
Consecration
Transubstantiation
Eucharist
Tabernacle
Crucifix
Candles
Sacristy
Vestments
Sanctuary

The Apostles' Creed

For those students who get to class a little early, I have "The Apostles' Creed" coloring picture on the wall that they can take down and color.

The coloring pictures can be found here.

Rosary Board

When going to say the Rosary, this board makes it easy to get everyone ready.

With a plastic table cloth from the dollar store as a back drop, and tacks holding up the name and the a place for the Rosary to hang, this is a super easy addition to the classroom.

Homework Door

I noticed that the kids needed an extra incentive to do their homework on time so I came up with the Homework Door.

Every time the student turns in their homework (on time) they get a sticker. If they go to Confession, they get two stickers.

Example of Student's Sticker Sheet
These stickers can be used for different reasons.

In order to go to the Christmas Party, the student needed to have 15 stickers.

I have also used the stickers as money and at the end of the year the students could use their stickers to buy something from the store.

Here are a some of the items I included in the "store."

The 1 Sticker Table

The 2 Sticker Table

The 5 Sticker Table

The 10 Sticker Table

The 15 Sticker Table

Confession Form

I encourage the students to go to confession as often as possible. They can turn in this form and get two stickers. See Homework Door.
